“Girls’ Group” is a film in praise of Iranian girls

Fars News Agency – Cinema Group: The film “Girls’ Group” is the second film made by Munir Qidi, which was screened at the 40th Fajr Film Festival. A film that deals with the first days of the imposed war and the conflict in Khorramshahr and the resistance of its people against the enemy’s aggression and the strong presence of women at that time.

Qidi, who in his first work also addressed a subject of war and holy defense, this time too, with a closer look, has chosen another subject at that difficult time. This time, she has turned to the heroic women who are no longer behind the front and the support force, but women who have gone to sea and gone between cannons and mortars.

A group of girls who each have their own reason for being in this difficult arena. Women who do things beyond their control, but who end up proud and victorious, come out to show that in times of war, gender does not make sense and that preserving the homeland is superior to anything else.

In this film, Qidi brutally depicts the early days of the war, although she is a woman, but in portraying hardships and bitterness, she has put aside her delicate feminine spirit and portrayed those bitternesses with all her might and power so that we know and To know what a difficult time has passed for our women, girls and men and how they have passed their lives and property so that they do not give a single inch of their homeland to a mercenary.

Although the group of girls enjoys the presence of actors such as Niki Karimi, Panthea Panahiha, Hoda Zin al-Abedin, Fereshteh Hosseini and Sadaf Asgari, who are well-known actors, but the powerful story and atmosphere created by Qidi forgets their faces and the audience It makes the story more important than anything else. On the other hand, the presence of male actors who are often unknown, with the exception of Hossein Soleimani and Mehdi Hosseininia, has put the focus on the main actors and their women so that the audience can still identify with them.

On the other hand, Qidi cleverly evokes emotional and even humorous moments in this film so that the audience can breathe for a few seconds and get rid of the bitterness and return to the atmosphere of the film once again.

The music composed by Sattar Orki for this film is its strong point and it is very much in line with the prevailing atmosphere. Orki, who is from the southern region, has chosen the music for each and every moment of the film, knowing the prevailing atmosphere, which is soulful and resonates in the heart of the soul.

But it should not be overlooked that Qidi, with all his care and vigilance, like many other films and brilliant works of Iranian cinema, still has a weakness, and that is the lack of preservation and sequencing of the actors’ accents, which in some scenes is completely The Persian accent returns and moves away from the southern region.

In general, it can be said that “Girls” is one of those films that can be seen and then remained involved and praised the bravery of men and women in the south.
