Grossi is on his way to Washington to consult on Burjam – Mehr News Agency | Iran and world’s news

According to Mehr News Agency, Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, announced his visit to Washington in a Twitter message. He is scheduled to meet with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, Senate Foreign Relations Committee officials and other US officials.
According to Grossi, the focus of the meetings is the UN Security Council, nuclear verification, climate change, nuclear security and safety, and how the United States supports the IAEA’s vital actions.
Grossi’s visit to Washington comes on October 22, when Ali Bagheri, Iran’s deputy foreign minister, hosted Enrique Mora, the EU’s deputy foreign policy chief.
At the same time, the US Secretary of State claimed that in case of failure of diplomacy with Iran, Washington is ready to resort to other options. Reacting to the remarks, EU foreign policy chief Joseph Borrell said the bloc would not consider Plan B or the Second Plan if diplomacy around the revival of the UN Security Council failed.
He also said: “It is time to return to the negotiating table and I do not want to think about Plan B because there is no second plan that comes to mind; It can not be a good plan.
