Hamid smiled and rested in his eternal home
The funeral of the living body of Hamid Labkhandeh, a well-known artist of cinema, theater and television, was buried on Monday morning, January 11, in Behesht Zahra.
Theater News Base: The director and actor, who passed away on Saturday evening, January 7, was buried today in the presence of his family and a group of friends in section 110 of Behesht Zahra.
During his lifetime, this artist did not want to be buried in an artists’ piece after his death.

Hamid Labkhandeh, an actor and director with a background in theater and television, died on Saturday evening, January 7, due to complications from a surgery.
He was born in 1330. At the age of 15, he went to the first theater class with Hossein Ali Tabatabai in the Ahvaz Department of Culture and Arts. The University of Tehran accepted fine arts and studied theater directing and acting. This director has been one of the students of prominent artists such as Hamid Samandarian, Shamim Bahar, Bahram Beizai, Parviz Parvaresh, Parviz Mamnoon, Ali Rafiei, Mohammad Kowsar, as well as Manijeh Mohammadi and Goli Targhi.
Smile that had played in some plays of the theater group “Piadeh” under the direction of Dariush Farhang and Mehdi Hashemi. For the first time, he worked with the living memory of Samandarian in Sartre’s play “The Undead and Burial”. At that time, he was directing the play “Adilaha” written by Camus and translated by Mohammad Ali Spanloo in Rumi Hall, and after experiencing the performances, he found a more friendly relationship with the living memory of Samandarian and Homa Rousta.
Hamid Labkhandeh became a well-known figure among the general public with the production of the series “In Your Shelter” in the seventies, and after that he directed other series such as “In My Heart”. He made the film “Blue” in the cinema, but in previous years he was mostly the director of Samandarian Academy and for many years he was the director of Hamid Samandarian’s live school.
The play “Misunderstanding” and the serials “Mehr and Mah” and “Stay with me” are other works of Hamid Labkhandeh.
