According to the Mehr reporter, Hassan Yazdani last night in the final match of the 86 kg weight category of the world championship freestyle wrestling competitions was able to avenge the Olympic defeat against the American David Taylor and rely on the world championship platform.

In this wrestling, Hassan Yazdani defeated Taylor 6-2 to win a gold medal in the 2021 World Championships in Norway and set a new record in his name.

According to this, Yazdani is the only Iranian wrestler who has been able to win medals in all world and Olympic competitions and achieve a record of seven consecutive medals.

Yazdani became a member of the national adult freestyle wrestling team in 2015 and won the world silver medal in the same year. He then won the gold medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics, and the following year won the gold medal at the 2017 World Championships. In the following years, Yazdan won the bronze medal of the 2018 World Championships, the 2019 World Gold Medal and the Silver Medal of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, respectively, and last night he added the gold medal of the 2021 World Championships in Norway to his showcase of honors.
