Health insurance contract of Tehran province with 20 thousand doctors

According to Fars news agency’s health department, Alireza Namazi said regarding the number of doctors contracted by the province: The General Department of Health Insurance of Tehran province has direct and indirect contracts with about 20 thousand doctors, of which about 18 thousand 600 doctors Indirectly, there are clinics, hospitals, limited surgery centers and health networks that have cooperation agreements that the health insured benefit from the services of these institutions.

The head of health insurance of Tehran province added: about 1,400 doctors have cooperation contracts through private offices and provide services to health insurance policyholders, according to the budget rules of the current year and the requirements of the contracts of basic insurance organizations with all doctors and medical diagnostic institutions. This general administration is also determined to cooperate with all doctors, hospitals and medical diagnostic centers of the province to facilitate the access and benefit of the insured.

He clarified: In this regard, correspondence has been made with the organization of the medical system, universities of medical sciences and hospitals of the province to invite them to cooperate and conclude agreements, and currently there are about 6 thousand medical diagnostic institutes and about 20 thousand doctors in Tehran province. It is a health insurance contract.
