Heavy wave of flight cancellations in the United States for the second day in a row

According to the Fars News Agency’s International Economics Group Reuters, South West Airlines announced that for the second day in a row last night, it was forced to cancel 30% of its flights. Although the company has not announced the exact number of canceled flights, since it has about 3,000 daily flights, the number of canceled flights is probably close to a thousand.

The reason for the cancellation of these flights is on the one hand the unfavorable weather conditions in Florida and on the other hand the disruption of air traffic control in the United States.

According to an airline tracking site, the company canceled 1,103 flights overnight and canceled 808 flights on Saturday.

Other airlines in the United States are said to have been forced to cancel their flights for similar reasons, but the point is that the number of canceled Southwest flights has been much higher.

Interestingly, the Southwest Pilots Association stated that the cancellation of the flights had nothing to do with the union’s actions and that its pilots did not interfere in any action related to the cancellation of these flights.
