According to Fars news agency, in this ceremony, Mohammad Mokhbar, the first vice president, Ansieh Khazali, the vice president for women’s affairs, Laleh Farhang Matin, the vice president for planning and coordination for women and family affairs, Khadija Karimi, the director general of international affairs, the vice presidency. Republic of Women and Family Affairs, Maryam Kazemipour, Deputy Minister of Women’s Sports Development of the Ministry of Sports, Poladgar and Kalhor, two Deputy Ministers of Sports and Youth, and some heads of federations were present.
Kazemipour said in this ceremony: Liver, judo, horse riding, athletics, weightlifting, karate, futsal, fencing and polo are the disciplines defined in the first period of Nowruz international games. Also, 378 foreign athletes and 225 Iranian athletes from 20 countries will compete with each other in different age groups.
The vice president of women’s sports development of the Ministry of Sports added: “The goal of holding the Nowruz international games “specially for women” is the sustainable development of women’s sports and taking advantage of the potential of female athletes.
