This concept car (in terms of design that has not reached mass production) is called N-Van and, inspired by clever packaging, is suitable for one person to sleep at night. This compact van is actually a very simple cabin with a folding bed next to the driver’s seat.
When the bed is folded, it is possible to carry boxes, equipment and luggage in this van and it can be a small cargo van during the day and a bed for owning a van at night. The architecture of this van is such that the pillar is no longer installed on the passenger side. In the rear slider, it can move with the front hinge so that half of the student’s side is fully open. Therefore, it can be a very convenient means of transporting small packages in large and densely populated cities of Japan. On the driver’s side, the B-pillar pillar is retained for strength. There is also a space for a sliding basket on the roof of this van.
