Sardar Hossein Rahimi, the police chief of the capital, while describing the hostage situation in the capital today, stated: At around 5:00 p.m. today, my colleagues at the 164 Qaim police station noticed the unusual behavior of a car and when they became suspicious, they ordered the occupants of the car to stop, but the occupants did not. The car did not pay attention and tried to run away, and at the same time, they also shot at the officers, which led to an armed conflict between the police and the accused.

Sardar Rahimi stated: In the continuation of the chase, the defendants entered Ajudaniye Street and entered a five-story apartment whose door was open in one of the side streets. In the same building, he first got into a fight with a mother and daughter who were in the corridor and threatened them with death, then he went to the fifth floor of the building and entered the house by breaking the door of one of the residential units, and three of the residents of that house Among them, the man, his wife and child are taken hostage.

Sardar Rahimi continued: After learning about the hostage taking, the NOPO Special Operations Teams, Intelligence Police, Prevention Police and myself also intervened due to the importance of the matter and we talked with the hostage taker for hours and the necessary guarantees were given, but he did not accept this guarantee. He did not pay attention and every time he had a request; He even wanted to leave the place together with all three hostages, which we accepted, but he made another request, and finally we came to the conclusion that a special operation should be carried out to free the hostages.

The police commander of the capital stated: When I was talking to the hostage without a weapon or even a bulletproof vest, the special and lightning operation of the Nopo group was carried out in a fraction of a second, and the hostage taker was arrested and disarmed, and the hostages were saved.

He said: The hostage-taker, along with a woman who claimed to be his wife, and the weapon used, were arrested and handed over to the judicial system.
