How the Russians created the documentary Oscar

“The First Oscar” is a film that tells the story of the making of the first Oscar-winning documentary in 1943.

Theater News Base: The first international trailer for a drama film about World War II, “The First Oscar,” has been released, which tells the true story of the documentary “Moscow Attacks.” The film was named the first Academy Award-winning documentary of the year in 1943.

The film “The First Oscar”, which is currently in the post-production stages, is scheduled to be released on March 24. Central Partnership screens the film in foreign markets.

The film tells the story of two student filmmakers who, as the Nazis approach Moscow, refuse to leave the city and instead volunteer to film the front lines, depicting the ugliness of war and the bravery of Soviet soldiers.

The film also has a secondary story that takes place in the United States. Following the screening of the documentary, a member of the Academy Awards Selection Committee persuaded his colleagues to add a new section to the Academy Awards for the Best Documentary of the Year.

The Academy Awards that year, in honor of the two young men’s film, said “Moscow Attacks” won the award for “clearly demonstrating the heroism of the Russian army and the Russian people in defending Moscow and its achievements under these difficult and dangerous conditions.”

“The First Oscar” is directed by Sergei Mukoritsky, best known for his World War II film “Battle of Sevastopol” about the female sniper Lyudmila Pavlichenko.
