Implementation of a plan to collect scrap cars in Tehran

Hadi Ali Ahmadi, the mayor of Tehran’s 13th district, in an interview with a city reporter of Fars News Agency, said about the implementation of the city’s maintenance transformation plan: “This plan has been implemented in neighborhoods since the beginning of December.” Organizing and collecting these vehicles is done in cooperation with the Deputy of Urban Services and Environment and the four districts.

He added: Simultaneously with the start of the city maintenance transformation plan, about 10 unlicensed vehicles were stopped and collected after going through the legal process and issuing a written warning, and were transferred to the parking lot with the cooperation of Rahvar police.

The mayor of Tehran’s 13th district continued: “Considering the consequences and social damages caused by stopping an ownerless car and scrapping it in the area, which causes citizens’ dissatisfaction and reduces neighborhood security, this project will continue until the area is completely cleared of these cars.”

He asked the citizens to call 137 system if they see such cases and announce the address of the abandoned car.
