According to the Fars News Agency’s urban group, according to the instructions of the Deputy of Finance and Urban Economy of Tehran Municipality and also its notification by the Mayor of Tehran, in order to make the municipality’s accounts transparent and regulate Tehran Municipality’s financial transactions, all units, regions, organizations and subsidiaries And the institutions of Tehran Municipality are obliged to deposit all sources of income and other funds received under the approved budget only to the revenue accounts of the municipal treasury that are opened or will be opened at the proposal of the municipality and with the approval of the Tehran City Council.
This instruction is based on the provisions of 35 of the Third Development Plan of Tehran, the need to use the Treasury Instruction in Tehran Municipality, which was announced by the Ministry of Interior in 2017, and also in line with the implementation of Note 1 of the budget approved by the Tehran City Council.
The announcement of this instruction comes at a time when some members of the fifth council of Tehran criticized the non-payment of revenues to the municipal treasury and repeatedly warned about the non-cooperation of organizations and companies in the implementation of these approvals.
