Increased privacy security for Firefox users in the new update

Mozilla Firefox browser is an alternative to Google Chrome browser. Firefox has also offered similar features to Chrome for users.

According to Aetna’s report from Mehr, lately Firefox is trying to be a superior browser instead of becoming an alternative to Chrome. For this purpose, Mozilla has focused on user privacy features. In this regard, with the “Firefox v102” update, the latest browser feature in this field is presented, which automatically removes trackers from the URL of websites.

For further clarification, it should be noted that companies such as Facebook, Marketo, HubStop, etc. use special URL search parameters to track users’ clicks on links.

These specific URLs are generally created to track user activity on the web. In the new update, the Firefox browser provides a shorter URL to the user, which blocks all other tracking URLs.

This feature removes the various search parameters that the listed companies use.

To activate the mentioned feature, the user just needs to open the Firefox browser, go to the settings section and click on the “Privacy and Security” section, then change the “Advanced Tracking Protection” feature to “Strict Tracking Protection”.

It should be noted that this feature only works when the browser is used in normal mode and not in Private mode.
