Iran-Austria economic cooperation will be facilitated



According to an IRNA report from the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare on Tuesday, “Hamed Forouzan” stated at the Iran-Austria Economic Cooperation Summit, referring to the long history of trade relations between the two countries: Trade between Iran and Austria.

The Director General of International Affairs of the Ministry of Cooperation noted: The draft memorandum of cooperation in the field of activities related to this ministry and Austria is ready, which we hope will be signed and implemented.

€ 10 billion investment in Shasta

The CEO of Social Security Investment Company (Shasta) in this meeting, referring to Shasta’s capacities, considered it the largest economic complex in the country and said: in Shasta, more than 400 thousand billion Tomans of investment has been planned, which is currently more than 40 thousand billion Tomans. He also mentioned Shasta Cement Holding, with a 30% share of the country’s cement market and shipping of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which has the largest cargo capacity in the Middle East, as another Shasta capacity to cooperate with Austrian companies.

Development of Austrian-Iranian cooperation in trade and economic relations

We do not have diversity, but we have many companies that can cooperate with Shasta according to the subject of activity.

He added: “As the representative of the Austrian economy and industry, I am very happy to provide the ground for the expansion of economic and trade relations between the two countries. We used to have great cooperation between Austrian and Iranian companies, but for some reason these relations have now diminished.” We hope that by holding meetings, the level of this cooperation will increase.

The Commercial Counselor of the Austrian Embassy requested that issues and suggestions be communicated in detail and in writing, in relation to Austrian companies, to raise them and communicate the results as soon as possible.
