Iran is ready to send labor to Romania – Mehr News Agency | Iran and world’s news



According to the Mehr news agency, quoting the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare, “Hamed Forouzan” in a joint meeting of officials with the Romanian embassy in Iran, referring to the long history and friendship of more than one hundred years between Iran and Romania, said: Corona pandemic, the volume of trade and economic exchanges between the two countries has been declining.

He added: “Currently, 200 Iranian students are studying in Romania, which could be an opportunity to develop economic and trade relations between the two countries.”

Forouzan stressed that the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare is ready to sign a joint memorandum with the Romanian Ministry of Labor and Social Justice.

“Ahmad Khani,” Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs of the Ministry of Cooperatives, referring to Iran’s serious will to increase cooperation between the two countries, said: “The Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare is the largest economic enterprise in Iran with several large pension funds.”

He added: “This ministry produces 15% of Iran’s GDP.”

Shasta exports $ 1 billion a year

“Ali Rostami”, CEO of Social Security Investment Company (Shasta), also mentioned in this meeting, referring to Shasta’s serious determination to develop economic and trade relations, said: Shasta is the largest multidisciplinary holding in Iran and exports $ 1 billion annually.

Referring to Shasta’s potential, he said: “There is a readiness to establish a joint cooperation office with the economic complexes of Romania.”

“Mirla Carmen Greco,” the Romanian ambassador to Iran, also referred to the long-standing relationship between the two countries, saying: “In the field of construction raw materials and agriculture, trade between the two countries has grown in recent months.”

He added: “Romania also needs imports in the field of stones and metals and is interested in cooperating with Iran in the field of pharmaceutical products, especially herbal medicines.”

Emphasizing Romania’s high capacity for clean and renewable energy, Greco said: “Romania is ready to lay the groundwork and facilitate in all areas of trade and economy.”
