Iran is steadfast in its positions / inciting the West to a media war – Mehr News Agency | Iran and world’s news

Mehr News Agency, International Group: In its report today, the English-language Tehran Times resumed talks in Vienna after a brief hiatus aimed at consulting with the capitals. But at the same time, which lasted about six days; The Western side aims to take advantage of the concessions that Tehran refuses to cede; It sparked a media war.

The seventh round of Vienna talks resumed last Thursday with a meeting of senior negotiators, which began with the two sides discussing Iran’s two proposed drafts on lifting sanctions and nuclear commitments – to be agreed upon in this round. It is necessary – they took a biased position.

The Tehran Times writes in this regard: The Western side (European troika) was suggesting that Iran’s proposals are extravagant and far from realistic. Thus, they began a tangible effort to pretend that last week’s talks had failed and that Iran was responsible for the failure, while Tehran saw the coordinated move by the West as a game of blame.

In the meantime, Iran stressed that its proposals are in full compliance with the provisions of the 2015 nuclear deal, and at the same time, referring to a connection between the seventh and the previous six rounds, did not deny that its proposals were based on what was achieved in the previous six rounds. Is based.

However, Iran has also made it clear that the outcome of the previous six rounds is merely a draft and therefore negotiable, or, in the words of Ali Bagheri Kani, Iran’s chief nuclear negotiator, until everything is agreed upon; Nothing has been agreed.

The Tehran Times continued: “It was in this atmosphere that the Vienna talks resumed last Thursday, and despite Iran’s insistence on the need for the other side to avoid a media war; Western sources immediately resorted to psychological media operations immediately after the resumption of talks.

The first European claim was made on Thursday, a few hours after Iranian negotiators and Borjam’s partners met in Vienna. Iran, on the other hand, insisted on negotiating on the basis of two proposals it had previously made; A European source claimed that Iran had agreed to start negotiations from the conclusion point reached in June (the end point of the sixth round), while Iran quickly rejected this claim.

In this regard, a source close to the Iranian negotiating team told Tasnim News Agency: “The proposals and comments submitted by Iran over the past week are still on the table and the Iranian side is proceeding accordingly.”

At the same time, the Americans, for their part, have contributed to the poisoning of the atmosphere and are trying to make the possibility of a quick conclusion to the outcome of the Vienna talks out of reach by questioning the seriousness of Iran.

Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, in a message posted on Instagram at the same time as the Iranian delegation arrived in Vienna; “We are all in Vienna to negotiate a good deal, while we doubt whether the West is in principle ready to lift sanctions or simply seek to resolve its concerns unilaterally,” he said.

Over the past week, Iran has spoken in detail about its legitimate demands, one of which is the need to lift all sanctions imposed with the aim of lifting the UN Security Council. Joe Biden, meanwhile, continues to push for nuclear sanctions, which Trump has categorized as anti-terrorism, with the aim of blocking his return to the UN Security Council; Maintain.

But Iran does not accept this issue in any way and says that if the criterion is the implementation of Borjam 2015; So all the sanctions imposed by Trump, without exception, must be lifted. The dispute over the lifting of sanctions has become a tool for the West to cast doubt on the negotiations. The Western media seeks to attribute the failure of the talks to the failure of Iran. But Iran denies this. Disagreement over specific issues is an integral part of any negotiation. In other words, there is no negotiation that does not involve disagreement.
