Iran strongly condemned the verdict of the Swedish court about Hamid Nouri

According to the Foreign Policy Group of Fars News Agency, the Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Naser Kanani, reacted to the media statement issued by the Swedish court in connection with the charges against Hamid Nouri, an Iranian citizen imprisoned in Sweden, today (Thursday), July 23.

According to Fars, the Swedish court sentenced Hamid Nouri to life imprisonment today.

In November 2018, “Hamid Nouri”, a former employee of the judiciary, who retired in 1370 and had a freelance job since then, traveled to Sweden to deal with his adopted daughter’s family disputes and was arrested by the police of this country upon his arrival at Stockholm airport. Since then, he has been in solitary confinement. Hamid Nouri’s accusation is based on the false claims of a number of members of the terrorist group, that he was their jailer at some point.

* Condemnation of the issued statement

In response to this statement, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Kanani, said: The Islamic Republic of Iran rejects this political statement, which involves making baseless and fabricated accusations against the Islamic Republic of Iran and the judicial system of our country, as well as announcing a life sentence for Mr. Hamid Nouri. strongly condemns

The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs added: What was read today during the announcement of the verdict, indicates that the Swedish judicial system, instead of answering to the people of Iran, allowed a terrorist group to operate in that country and violated its international responsibility in the field of non-selective combat. With terrorism, it has actually supported and promoted terrorism.

Kanani further emphasized: It is absolutely certain for the Islamic Republic of Iran that the case of Mr. Hamid Nouri was only an excuse for a political action without any real citations or legal basis.

* Contrary to the background of good relations between the two countries, Sweden has given in to the sinister goals of the propaganda machine of the hypocrite group by spending huge amounts of money.

The spokesperson of the diplomatic agency also stated: We are not surprised by the depth of the malice of the terrorist group of the hypocrites, which has a history full of crimes and betrayal against the people of Iran and even against the people of Iraq during the dark era of Saddam’s dictatorship. However, we deeply regret that Sweden, contrary to the background of good relations between the two countries, has given in to the nefarious goals of the propaganda machine of the hypocrites’ group by spending huge amounts of money and has placed its judicial system at the service of their criminal goals and has practically purified terrorism.

Kanaani considered the hooching of the group of hypocrites in Stockholm and the concentration and pressure of them and the opposing media around the place where the court statement was issued as an indication that they were only trying to impose their desired result on the court, which unfortunately the Swedish judicial system gave in to.

The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized: Mr. Hamid Nouri was arrested by the Swedish police two and a half years ago, upon his arrival at the Stockholm airport, following a pre-planned and deceptive scenario by the elements of the terrorist group, which they have clearly admitted. . Therefore, basically, the basis of the arrest by the relevant Swedish authorities has been distorted.

Kanani added: During his 30-month detention in solitary confinement, Mr. Nouri was deprived of the most basic human rights and subjected to systematic mistreatment, including beatings by prison officials. He was also unable to fully read the indictment issued by the prosecutor due to the harassment, including the lack of access to a doctor. Therefore, the behavior and the restrictions imposed on Mr. Nouri have been a clear example of human rights violations by human rights claimants.

The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs further stated: Mr. Nouri was illegally tried in the court process, on the basis of lying, setting up the scene, and producing fake witnesses of the terrorist group of the Munafekin, under the atmosphere and heavy psychological pressure of this group. A group that announced the sentence that the court issued to them in advance and insisted on imposing it in any way according to the history we know from them.

* We hold Sweden responsible for the damages caused to bilateral relations

Kanani clarified: Unfortunately, the judicial authorities of Sweden, despite the claim of independence of the vote, during the judicial process, completely gave the space to the terrorist group of hypocrites and did not even allow Mr. Nouri to introduce his witnesses to the court and defend his right. Moreover, in its 27th session, the court established a direct video link with the base of the hypocrites in the latter country and in coordination with the Albanian prosecutor’s office, and provided ample opportunity to the members of this group. Also, during the hearing of the case, the Swedish judicial system gave Mr. Nouri’s lawyers only a few days to defend themselves, which was very little and unfair considering the time given to the plaintiffs to file a lawsuit.

In the end, the spokesperson of the diplomatic agency emphasized: In view of the aforementioned matters, the Islamic Republic of Iran considers the contents of the court statement, including the illegal court ruling of Mr. Nouri, to be fundamentally rejected, distorted and unacceptable, and strongly objects to the court ruling, which lacks any justification. and the jurisdiction is legal, it holds Sweden responsible for the damages caused to bilateral relations because of this.

According to Fars, a Swedish court judge sentenced Hamid Nouri, an Iranian citizen in Sweden, to life imprisonment on baseless charges. The Reuters news agency reported that Hamid Nouri’s lawyers can appeal against this sentence, and in this case, the Court of Appeal will review this sentence again.

Not long ago, in a telephone conversation with his Swedish counterpart, Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian called for Nouri’s immediate release, and Sweden’s foreign minister also said that the country’s government and judicial system are not influenced by the propaganda of the hypocrite group.

Amir Abdullahian, on 30 Bahman 1400, in a meeting with his Swedish counterpart on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, pointed out the situation of Hamid Nouri and stated: It is not acceptable that the relations between Iran and Sweden become the target of the plots of the terrorist group of the hypocrites. On May 14, Amir Abdullahian, in a telephone conversation with the Swedish Foreign Minister, called the arrest and court process of Hamid Noori, an Iranian citizen detained in Sweden, illegal and demanded his immediate release. He added: The Islamic Republic of Iran considers the detention and court process of Iranian citizen Hamid Noori illegal and demands his immediate release. It is regrettable that a terrorist group whose records of crimes against the people of Iran and even Iraq during Saddam’s Baath regime are clear has taken over the artificial atmosphere of this process in Sweden.

Yesterday, Nasser Kanani said in a weekly meeting with reporters that the Swedish government is expected to provide preparations for Hamid Nouri’s release as soon as possible.
