Iranian woman meeting; Lived experience and ways out of inter-role conflicts were held

Family group: Meeting “Iranian woman; Lived experience and ways out of role-playing conflicts “was held in the presence of Dr. Karami and Dr. Kermanshah, at the Tebyan Institute. Dr. Karami is a sociologist and researcher in the study of women, society and family, and Dr. Kermanshah is the co-founder of the Institute and has done many activities in the role of consultant and instructor of individual and organizational change.

The session began with a question from Dr. Kermanshah as to whether multi-role women are a necessity or a choice. In response to this question, Dr. Karami said: “In my opinion, yes, it is necessary now. The fact of the matter is that we are moving towards multi-role, now it does not matter at all whether we say it is our choice or it is an issue imposed on us, because multi-role is one of the requirements of modern society and an inescapable truth. The main reason for this phenomenon, especially in countries like ours, is that there is no correspondence between interest and opportunity. “It also matters how we understand and understand the multiplicity of roles and the role conflict, in other words, does this need a sociological understanding or a psychological one, or should we have a cultural understanding?”

Dr. Karami further pointed out that these issues have been resolved in many societies and in many societies as well, and this shows that this issue has cultural, legal and legal dimensions and the main reason is the psychological difference between men and women. It means that a country that is culturally different from our country, its problem will definitely be different from ours in this area. “Another problem is the inability of men to accept the ability to have multiple roles, which is exactly the opposite of women, which means that a woman can teach at the university at the same time and take care of her sick child, but a man can do chores outside the home. He does not have this ability and his main focus is on his work. So it is the different situations that make the issue of multiplicity of roles a problem in our society today. It may be completely different in other societies than ours; But now, when it comes to pluralism, we immediately compare European countries, and the question arises as to why they have been more successful than we are. Or are they not successful? “While we are not aware of the reality of their societies, we should not neglect any of the cultural, psychological, sociological and historical cuts.”

“Today we are facing modernity,” Dr. Karami continued. While this has started earlier in many countries and as a result they have faced the issue of role conflict sooner, it is natural that they have acted more quickly to find a solution to this issue. First of all, it should be considered whether the solution provided by them is a good solution or not. That is, did the solution provided by them really solve a problem or not? Because in many countries the solutions offered have not led to a solution. For example, according to statistics, the average American woman working a week is 160 to 180 hours of hard work, which indicates that they have not been able to solve the problem. “We have to keep in mind that if we have our own lifestyle, we should not copy the culture of other countries.”

Dr. Karami in response to another question from Dr. Kermanshah that what are the barriers to using the potential of educated and highly educated women in various areas of today’s society? “Sometimes there are obstacles that the government has to remove, and sometimes there are obstacles that we need to remove ourselves. Not all expectations can be expected from governments and governments,” he said.

Dr. Karami continued: “Both the individual and the subculture are important. In a family, you see two men getting married, a man playing a role in the house with his wife, but he does not have a brother. It varies from person to person. It can be different from one subculture to another subculture. For example, the subculture that believes that a man is a man of work and a woman is to work at home; To the subculture that says life is participation. We have all these patterns around us. Another point that can be made is that we must recognize pluralism. We are not looking for stars, we are looking for the general condition of our society. A society with pluralistic people must also have pluralistic politics. Our society is changing. “As soon as you sit here, it means that we are moving towards resolving the issues of gender map conflict, and this is a sign that we are not standing at a fixed point and we are moving towards change.”

Following the meeting, the audience’s questions about the issues raised by Dr. Karami were analyzed and answered.
