Iran’s ambassador to Syria received the “High Merit Award” – Mehr news agency Iran and world’s news



According to the report of Mehr News Agency, quoted by SANA, Syrian President Bashar Assad ordered that Mehdi Sobhani be awarded the Syrian Medal of Merit in a ceremony that was held on the occasion of the end of the mission of Tehran’s ambassador to Damascus.

Ayman Sosan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Syria, presented this badge of merit to the Iranian ambassador in Syria.

He emphasized: The President of Syria issued the order to award this badge to the Iranian ambassador with the aim of emphasizing the strategic relations between the two countries and recognizing Sobhani’s activities in Syria.

Susan appreciated the important role of the Iranian ambassador and his efforts to strengthen bilateral relations in various fields and praised the positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran in supporting Syria against the cruel war against this country.

He added: We appreciate Iran’s economic support to Syria against the West’s efforts to destroy the country’s economy and keep the Syrian people hungry.

Susan clarified: Iran-Syria relations are historical and deep-rooted and based on the principles of respect for the sovereignty of countries and the right of nations to have a good life.

In this ceremony, the Iranian ambassador also thanked the Syrian president and the government of this country and emphasized: Iran-Syria relations are deep and strategic and have a historical background. The two countries have extensive cooperation in political, military, economic fields. They have helped each other at important historical turns.
