Iraqi envoy: The United States is not helping to monitor ISIS movements

According to Fars News Agency’s International Group, Jabbar al-Ma’mouri, a senior member of the al-Fatah coalition and a member of the Iraqi parliament, said that the Americans, despite having the right equipment, were not helping to monitor the movements of ISIL terrorists.

He told Al-Ma’louma website that the United States has five or seven satellites that can monitor all movements over Iraq, but some media outlets close to the country claim that the United States is providing information to Iraqi forces to attack ISIS. It is a lie.

Al-Ma’mouri stressed that the Iraqi fighters and air force are using intelligence gathered by security forces, especially al-Hashd al-Shabi, to target ISIL positions.

The Iraqi representative also said that the terrorist attacks of ISIL and the secrecy of the time and place of these attacks before they took place show that the terrorists are receiving information from some internal and external sources.

He called the withdrawal of US troops from Iraq the beginning of the end for the ISIS terrorist group, and stressed that the Iraqi people had fought the group without American help.

The remarks come as US officials say US troops are due to leave the country by the end of this year, but Kentcom terrorist commander Kenneth McKenzie has said 2,500 US troops will not leave. Their role will simply change from combat to advisory and training.

However, Iraqi groups say that any American presence in Iraq under any pretext is an occupation.
