The best way to reduce housing prices
Mahmoud Mahmoudzadeh, Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development, said: “The best way to reduce house prices is to build consumer housing and take the market out of the state of capital.” That is, to purposefully build units for real and qualified applicants.
He added: “One of the reasons that the government has proposed a policy of producing one million housing units per year is to build affordable housing for households.”
The Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development, stating that the housing market has stabilized in the past six months, said: “If we look at the statistics by neighborhood, we see that in many areas of Tehran, which is commercial in nature, we have seen prices fall far above average.” . Therefore, the market is not elastic in the field of investment, which is at the level of currency and coins, but the situation is different in the consumer sector.
Mahmoudzadeh emphasized: The housing market should be divided into two general branches in terms of nature; It is a part of real demand, which I believe is a constant activity and does not stagnate. If the builders take into account the normal and reasonable profits, there is always work in the real demand sector, and the government also supports the builders with incentive schemes.
