He added: Today, he and his colleagues visited 3 parking lots where confiscated vehicles are kept, the first parking lot was the anti-narcotics coordination council in the west of Tehran province, which is one of the major parts of these parking lots, and it had several roofed sheds, even though the place Most of the impounded vehicles were well maintained, but there were a number of vehicles that were exposed to damage.

The Chief Justice of Tehran Province stated: The purpose of this visit is to get detailed and direct information about the maintenance status of cars and motorcycles that have been seized due to carrying narcotics, connection with narcotics or property related to drug traffickers.

He went on to say that the main mission of this visit is to check the conditions of vehicle maintenance, determine the task quickly and within the framework of the law, monitor the process of judicial proceedings, the responsibility and duty of the Anti-Narcotics Coordination Council regarding the maintenance and sale of these vehicles.

Al-Qasi said: We had reports regarding the storage of these cars in the special parking lot in the west of Tehran province, so it was necessary to closely examine the maintenance status, the reason for the impoundment, and the reason for the retention of the impounded vehicles, so according to the statistics obtained during the visit to the covered parking lot 747 vehicles were confiscated.

The Chief of Justice of Tehran province said: During this visit, it was found that some cars belong to the past years; There is no justification for a car to be kept in the parking lot of the Anti-Narcotics Coordination Council for several years, so an order was issued to review the files of a number of cars.

Al-Qasi stated: We are giving a mission to all the chief justices, prosecutors, and judges of the revolutionary courts to examine and review all the cases of these cars one by one.

He added: The second parking lot was under the supervision of the Faraja Cooperative Foundation, which is managed with the participation of the private sector. So that a large number of people’s cars and motorcycles that were legally impounded or stolen were standing in this parking lot.

Chief Justice of Tehran Province said: Some of the seized cars and motorcycles were kept in the second parking lot for 5 to 10 years, so that sometimes the vehicles were seriously damaged due to the open space.

Al-Qasi stated: The third parking lot also belongs to the Anti-Narcotics Coordination Council of West Tehran Province, with the difference that this parking lot is open and some cars, motorcycles, and heavy machines were also seized in this place, which is the condition of this parking lot. should be checked; Because some cars that have been impounded for a long time may have been damaged.

He further stated: In the series of visits that took place today, it was decided that the colleagues from the relevant branches and authorities should extract the status of the court case of all the cars in all three parking lots based on the statistics, so that by checking the latest status of the cases, the reason for the retention and impoundment will be determined. These cars are related to judicial proceedings or have been determined by the judicial authority, but the procedures and sale procedures have been prolonged in the Anti-Narcotics Coordination Council.

The Chief of Justice of Tehran province said: After the statistics of the court case of all the cars are extracted, new decisions will be made to determine the assignment of all these cars.
He added: During this visit, an order was issued to determine if some cars have an objection to the Supreme Court due to seizure and confiscation. Also, if there is a third-party protest against the cars themselves, the status of the third-party objector’s case should be reviewed outside of the turn and the assignment determined.

Al-Qasi stated: It was decided that a case will be filed for the vehicles that are related to the property of drug traffickers and were not seized during the transportation of drugs and should be filed and determined in line with the discussion of money laundering issues. Also, the status of the property (legitimate or illegitimate) should be investigated.

The Chief of Justice of Tehran province said: Next week, a meeting will be held with the presence of all the officials of the relevant agencies of the coordination council, the police complex, judicial colleagues in the prosecutor’s offices and courts of revolution and the execution of sentences on an expert basis. Collect the motorcycles and property seized along with the impounded vehicles so that we can issue quick disposition decisions.
