According to Mehr reporter, the “Karestan Baharestan” collection was launched today, Tuesday, November 30, in the presence of Hojjatul Islam Mohammad Qomi, the head of the Islamic Propaganda Organization, Mohammad Mahdi Dadman, the head of the art department, Ruhollah Dehghani Firouzabadi, the president’s scientific and technological deputy, and a group of managers near Baharestan Square.
Seyed Amir Hossein Chavoshi, the CEO of “Karestan Baharestan” complex, said in a speech: “Karestan Baharestan is the largest innovation campus in the country that will be officially opened.” This project has had a study phase and an older obstacle.
He added: Our goal in “Karstan Baharestan” is that the artist should not have to worry about anything else when he wants to produce a product. “Karestan Baharestan” is not an accelerator, it is not an innovation factory, but facilities and infrastructures including filming and live broadcast studio, Blackbox and Chromaki are among them.
Chavoshi further stated: In terms of format and content, we have divisions that include the visual and auditory section, the visual arts section, and the general culture and art section. Also, in the first year, our priority is the field of children and teenagers.
Then, Mohammad Mehdi Dadman, the head of the art department stated: We consider the mission of the Islamic Revolution art department to be a platform for networking, formation and growth of artistic cultural cores. From our point of view, the artistic cultural core is a collective identity that can solve the real problem in the world of art culture, it is not dependent on the media, administrations and structures, of course, it has not defined itself as separate from the structures, and a kind of identity independence of the artistic core is trying to create a flow in the space To create a general society.
Dodman reminded: In my opinion, Karstan is an environment for the growth and acceptance of cultural and artistic cores and helps our central idea that we are advancing in the transformation plan of the artistic field.
He also added: On the other hand, our opinion is that the ecosystem of cultural production and consumption in the country has not yet been fully formed. Cultural production and consumption corrects our collective harms and benefits and strengthens the strengths of this society. Cultural consumption, which should be formed in the continuation of production, will create the future of Iran, but a complete cycle has not been formed yet.
The head of the art department emphasized: “We are sometimes facing shortages and we think that Karstan should consider itself committed to playing a role in building and developing the cultural and artistic ecosystem.” Here, in our opinion, it is not an innovation center with the usual features as it is said, but it should be a platform for the networking of teams in which the production and consumption cycle is prepared and a link is established between the activists in this field.
Dadman clarified: Children and adolescents should be the main focus of the country’s cultural activists. Our future generation, which is defenseless, has been subjected to extensive attacks in the intellectual, cultural, media and lifestyle layers, and it is rarely planned to provide a product that suits its needs.
The head of the art department said: We tried to prioritize children and teenagers and emphasize quantity and quality in the product production chain from books to films, animations, and serials.
Dodman also stated: In addition to the direct focus of the art field on product production, a network of teenagers should be formed in relation to the art field so that they can find talent and activism.
Dehghani Firouzabadi continued: I hope that Mr. Chavoshi will define a new experience of the path of growth and excellence and what is our plan for those who enter and leave here.
He added: I hope we can create an atmosphere in this collection that people will choose Karstan to see great experiences and great people.
Hojat al-Islam Qomi, the head of the Islamic Propaganda Organization, also said in this ceremony: For these people and a nation whose characteristic and authentic feature throughout history is their cultural richness, one of the signs of this rich culture is simply the preservation of cultural principles and pillars. He added: Now they have provided a platform so that big events can be made in the field of culture, especially with children and teenagers as a priority.
