Khartoum on the road to normalization; The trip of a high-ranking delegation from Sudan to Tel Aviv

According to Fars News Agency, according to Zionist media, a high-ranking delegation of Sudanese government officials is scheduled to travel to Tel Aviv in the coming days.
By publishing this news, “Ynet” website wrote that during the trip to Tel Aviv, the Sudanese delegation will review the details of the “peace agreement” and strengthen bilateral relations with the Zionist authorities.
According to this report, a Sudanese minister is going to enter Tel Aviv at the head of a delegation from his country.
Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen traveled to Sudan last week and after returning from this trip, he said that Rabat and Tel Aviv will sign a compromise agreement with each other.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sudan also announced in a statement that the two sides discussed efforts to normalize relations with each other during Eli Cohen’s visit.
This was the first time that the government of Sudan officially confirmed the visit of an official of the Zionist regime to that country, although in recent years there have been reports of unofficial communications between the officials of the two sides.
During an agreement in 2020, Sudan agreed to take steps towards normalizing relations with the Zionist regime. The announcement of this agreement took place at the same time as the normalization agreements between the Zionist regime and the UAE, Bahrain and Morocco.
The administration of Donald Trump, the president of the United States at the time, which brokered these agreements, chose the name “Abraham Agreements” for these agreements.
Abdul Fattah al-Barhan, the head of Sudan’s ruling council, said last month that the country’s relations with Tel Aviv continue. Al-Barhan said about the possibility of resuming negotiations and relations with the Zionist Provisional Regime: “These relations have not been cut, but we can say that they will be resumed.”
Al-Barhan had previously defended his action to establish relations with Tel Aviv, claiming that this work is in the interest of the country and the people of Sudan. It was in October 2020 that the White House announced that the Zionist regime and Sudan had established diplomatic relations with each other with the mediation of the Donald Trump government.
In this connection, “Nasruddin Abdulbari”, the Minister of Justice of the Transitional Government of Sudan, together with the presence of “Steven Mnuchin”, the former Secretary of the Treasury of the United States of America, signed the so-called “Abraham” agreement (normalization of relations with Tel Aviv) in Khartoum in January of last year; But until today, the official delegations of the government of Sudan and the cabinet of Tel Aviv have not met each other officially.
Sudan signed the Abraham Agreement while Washington had promised the country huge investments in many infrastructure projects; But informed sources say that this has not happened yet.
The government of Sudan is determined to sign a compromise agreement with the Zionist regime, while the people of this country, like Bahrain and the UAE, are against this, and during Cohen’s recent visit to Khartoum, thousands of Sudanese people held protest rallies against the normalization of relations between this country and the Zionists.
Holding placards against normalization and in support of Quds, the issue of Palestine and the people of this country, the protesters condemned and rejected Cohen’s trip to Khartoum.
Demonstrators chanted slogans such as “Neither peace, nor negotiation, nor recognition”, “Quds belongs to us”, “Normalization is betrayal”, “Palestine is not for sale”, “Khartoum will not betray Quds” and “The treacherous rulers, They don’t represent us” they shouted.
