Launch of Google Maps with street view in India

The Indian government had previously opposed the launch of the service, which shows panoramic images of roads and other locations. But after six years since India blocked the service due to national security concerns, Google Maps Street View has been relaunched.
According to Aetna from ISNA, Google Vice President Miriam Kartika Daniel said at a conference in New Delhi: From today, the street view of Google Maps will be available in India with new images that cover 150,000 kilometers of roads. He, who joined Google from Amazon last year, said: This company opens access to the map application programming interface for Indian designers to enable them to integrate the map experience with their products and services.
According to the Reuters report, Google announced that the collection of information will be done by the company’s local partners and this service will be available in 50 Indian cities by the end of this year.
