Launching of Azadegan water park/reopening of two recreational-sports complexes for women

According to the urban correspondent of Fars news agency, following the series of visits of the “Cultural Wednesdays” project, Alireza Nadali, the speaker and vice-chairman of the Cultural and Social Commission of the Islamic Council of Tehran, along with Seyyed Mehdi Sabbagh, the mayor of Region 15, visited the cultural projects of this region.

Alireza Nadali, Deputy Chairman of the Cultural and Social Commission of the Islamic Council of Tehran, at the beginning of this visit, along with Hossein Ojaghi, the head of the Sports Organization of Tehran Municipality, and Sabbagh, the Mayor of Region 15, of the cultural, recreational and sports complex of Azadegan Water Park, which was abandoned for several years and is now available. There is no public place, he visited and said: Azadegan water park complex is one of the complexes that are at the disposal of Tehran Municipal Sports Organization. This water park can be considered as one of the first sports complexes that started its activity in the country.

He added: This sports-entertainment complex has not been used for years, and Tehran Municipal Sports Organization is trying to revive this complex.
The spokesman of Tehran Islamic Council continued: It is possible to revive the activity of Azadegan Water Park sports-entertainment complex by using the investment capacity of the private sector. Therefore, we hope that after solving the legal obstacles, this group will start its activity again.

Referring to the reason for the closure of the Azadegan Water Park complex, Nadali said: the wear and tear of the facilities of this complex is one of the reasons for the closure of the Azadegan Water Park, which can be addressed and can start working with a new design.

He continued: In the Cultural and Social Commission, we expect the Tehran Municipal Sports Organization to take the necessary measures as soon as possible to start the activity of this complex.
Hossein Ojaghi, the head of the Tehran Municipal Sports Organization, also said: We tried to restart this complex with the cooperation of various departments until the beginning of summer, but unfortunately, this did not happen.

He added: We hope that with the cooperation of the private sector, the activity of this complex will resume soon.

Later, Alireza Nadali visited different parts of the women’s campus in the 15th district, and on the sidelines of the visit, he said: Paying attention to special projects for women is one of the things that Tehran’s urban management is following up on in the sixth period. One of the recreational places in the city of Tehran is Pardis Banavan District 15, which is one of the largest parks in the city of Tehran, which is active in the field of providing services to the women of the city of Tehran.

He added: Municipality of 15th district of Tehran has done a good job in maintaining the facilities of this garden and this complex has a good capacity to provide services to the women of Tehran.

Mehdi Sabbagh, the mayor of the 15th district, also said: One of the parts of the women’s park is the pool inside this complex, which has been closed due to the corona virus and the problems of overhauling the facilities. It is trying to start its activity again within the next two to three months.

He added: “Football field in the women’s garden complex; gym; There is a library and other recreational facilities that will be able to use the full capacity of these facilities soon after the investor settles down.

Following the visit of cultural Wednesdays, Alireza Nadali, the head of the cultural committee of the Islamic Council of Tehran, accompanied the mayor of District 15 to the cultural complex “Kushk Amir Soleimani” and visited the cultural capacity and activities of this complex and said: cultural activities also take place in this historical complex. It means that children and teenagers are learning to see.

He added: Region 15 can be an example in the field of family-oriented; One of the approaches of the cultural and social commission is paying special attention to the family-centered issue, which the Municipality of Region 15 has been leading in this field.
In addition, Sabbagh, the mayor of the 15th region, said: We will try to use all the capacity of the Amir Soleimani Kush complex in line with cultural activities.

Meeting with the deputies of the 15th district
In continuation of the cultural Wednesdays plan, Nad Ali Naib, Vice Chairman of the Cultural and Social Commission of the Islamic Council of Tehran, together with the regional mayor, held a meeting with the deputies of the 15th district of Tehran Municipality.
In this meeting, points of view on cultural activities in the region were raised, and the issues of preserving the sports space per capita in the region and dealing with social harms were mentioned.
Nad Ali, the spokesman of the Tehran Islamic Council, emphasized the need for cultural integration in the implementation of projects in the region.

At the end of the meeting of cultural Wednesdays, Alireza Nadali met with the citizens of this region at Imam Hassan Mojtabi Mosque (AS) in Moshiriyeh District 15 and followed up on the issues and concerns of the people in Razviyeh and Moshiriyeh Neighborhoods; Collecting drug addicts and reducing social damage were among the concerns of the people of the 15th region.
