According to the Mehr news agency, Hojjatullah Abdolmaleki in the 11th session of the National Council of the Elderly emphasized on following up and reviewing the situation of the elderly economy, treatment and supplementary insurance for the elderly.

He reminded: the secretariat of the National Council for the Elderly should have a coordinating and thought-provoking role, and in the operational field, this process will be followed under the supervision of the head of the country’s welfare organization.

The Minister of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare added: “In the field of law, from upstream laws to executive laws, we follow issues related to old age.”

Abdul Maleki emphasized on supporting innovative, innovative and knowledge-based measures in the field of aging and said: the need of the elderly in all income deciles should be احصاء To be able to provide special support programs for the elderly in need.

In another part of the meeting, he said that one of the main concerns of the country in the coming years is the reduction of the ratio of youth to the elderly and the closing of the population window.

The Minister of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare pointed out: Preventing the closing of windows and aging of the population and caring for the elderly should be the two main strategies in the country, of course, the specialized task of the National Council of the Elderly is to pursue the second issue.

Abdolmaleki said: “We must be careful about the aging of the population in the country, the aging rate of Iran’s population is increasing sharply and rapidly, and this trend must be corrected with appropriate policy.”

He continued: “All elements of the country should move in the direction of increasing the population to prevent the closing of the population window of Iran.”

The Minister of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare noted that incentive policies to increase the population will be accelerated and implemented.

Abdul Maleki called the elderly the embodied history of societies and said: “According to verses and hadiths, aging is a valuable phenomenon.”

He reminded: “Being old and increasing the number of elderly people in the country is a positive phenomenon that indicates the improvement of welfare, health and increasing life expectancy in the country.”

The Minister of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare added: “Increasing life expectancy and the number of elderly people is one of the indicators of countries’ progress.”
