Liz Terrace: It’s time to make a final decision in Vienna – Mehr News Agency | Iran and world’s news

According to the Mehr news agency, quoted by Reuters, the London government presented the country’s version of the telephone conversation between British Foreign Secretary Liz Terrace and Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir Abdullahian, which took place today, Tuesday.

The British side has apparently said that the time has come to make a final decision. According to the British Foreign Office, the release of dual national detainees is another focus of Terrace’s dialogue with Amir Abdullahian.

The British Foreign Office has also said that London is committed to paying off its میلیون 400m debt to Tehran and is urgent in finding a way to pay it off.

In the 1970s, Iran and Britain signed an agreement to deliver 1,500 tanks and 250 armored vehicles to Iran. London stopped delivering these tanks to Iran after capturing the US spy nest. The Pahlavi regime has paid all the amounts related to this contract, which according to some reports amounted to one billion dollars.

The telephone conversation between the British and Iranian foreign ministers, while Amir Abdullahian, referring to the approaching critical stage of the Vienna talks, stressed the need for seriousness and responsibility of the negotiating parties with Iran and stressed the need to reach this stage of the talks. Above all, it was due to the logical approach and initiative of the Iranian side.

He stressed the need for a collective agreement between all negotiating parties on a single text and the need to take into account the legitimate demands of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
