According to Tejarat News, the stock market faced the growth of the total stock index and the index was in the range of 1,431,000 units and recorded 7,000 growth units in the first half of trading. What was the reason for the positive stock index?

Mohammad Kheiri, a capital market expert, told Tejarat News about the reason for the growth of the index in the last two days: “In a short time, the overall market had a sharp decline and some shares had a drop of up to 20%.” In the last two days, he says, the correction atmosphere and sales pressure in the market have decreased

Kheiri added: “Rumors about a reduction in the dollar rate of refineries have been the reason for the positive stock market in the past two days.” Apart from this news, the other groups did not receive a positive signal and the rest of the market is negative except for the refining group.

“Most groups today are still negative despite the positive index, even the steel symbols group is in the zero price range,” says the market expert.

Positive market but negative shareholder portfolio

“People’s portfolios are a combination of symbols of different groups,” says Kheiri about why shareholders’ stock market portfolios are not growing. In the past few weeks, the index has moved more on large industries such as petrochemicals and urea manufacturers, and the rest of the groups have been accompanied by a negative atmosphere and falling prices. For this reason, in the shareholder portfolio, only those symbols that had a slight growth changed.

The market expert says that in the past few days, the whole market has been facing a drop in prices and there has been no positive trending market. Kheiri believes that the weakness of the market at the moment is that the index number is based on a formula that is inconsistent with the nature of the market.

Kheiri emphasized that to analyze the market and look at its situation, the homogeneous index is a more accurate criterion than the overall index and shows the market behavior in positive and negative correctly.

Stock market manipulation or wrong policies?

Regarding the possibility of manipulating the stock market trend, Kheiri said: “The stock market reacts negatively due to the lack of working capital with the slightest news and structural changes in it, and this is due to the shallow depth of the market.”

He says: “In the current situation, due to the exchange rate of the dollar and Borjam, the volume of transactions has decreased and the shareholders’ turnover has increased, but these factors are an excuse.” Another important factor in creating a negative market atmosphere is the policies of the new Minister of Economy, which has the color and smell of contractionary policies and reducing inflation.

In this regard, Kheiri added: “It seems that the Minister of Economy tends to issue bonds and increase the bank deposit rate, and along with all his comments, he speaks in support of the stock market; But in practice it has not provided much support to the market.

The market expert also said about the current problems of the country’s economy and the decrease of people’s desire to invest in the stock market: “The fundamental problem of the country’s economic situation is the government budget deficit and inflation.” Take bank deposits to collect liquidity at the community level in this way. These cases are a hidden reason for the stock market to stagnate and turn away, so that those who want to invest in this market lose their desire and go to the banks.
