Martyr Gurbankhani’s mother tells about the story of her daughter’s marriage sermon by the leader of the revolution

According to the reporter of Fars news agency, Fateme Tarkashund, the mother of Martyr Majid Gurbankhani, attended Salam Studio in Tehran and spoke about the bravery of her martyred son.

Turkashund said: Two or three days before my daughter’s marriage, I was in a bad state of mind and I was restless. They called me from the leadership house and arranged my appointment with Hazrat Agha. At that time, there was no plan to read the wedding sermon.

He added: “The day of meeting came and we reached the service of Hazrat Agha in the presence of the families of other martyrs.” My wife suggested that we should not talk about Majid and not cause any more discomfort to Hazrat Agha. When it was my turn to speak, I unconsciously remembered Majid and that he was going to be the groom. That’s why I mentioned my daughter and that she is about to get married, and Hazrat Agha enthusiastically agreed to read the wedding sermon.

Turkashund stated: My daughter always wanted her 69 dowry coins to be on behalf of Hazrat Zainab (PBUH), which happens to be Majid’s birthday. Hazrat Agha finally formalized this marriage by reading 14 coins.

He also said: During this process, my wife asked Hazrat Agha to tell me to change my black scarf after 8 years since Majid’s martyrdom. That’s why they asked me to get out of mourning and wear colorful clothes. He said that the high status of the martyrs and their brave sacrifices should make us happy.

Turkashund said: Majid had a very forgiving personality. He was very attached to his family, friends and acquaintances and respected them a lot. When he went to Syria, he did not take anything with him and gave away all his possessions as much as possible to those in need.

He added: One of my constant wishes was to see Majid in a groom’s dress. I always said that the woman who becomes his wife will be very happy. I never thought that I would lose him so soon.

Turkashund stated: I always prayed for Majid so that the end would be good. It is clear that there is no better outcome than martyrdom, and for this reason, it can be said that my prayers have been fruitful and my child has finally reached complete happiness.
