
According to the Fars News Agency’s urban correspondent, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Tehran and Suburbs Metro Operating Company and the Fruit and Vegetable Markets Organization today in the central building of the Tehran Metro Operating Company to better serve the citizens.
According to the memorandum, interaction between the two sides is to be established and the consideration of creating a booth in Tareh Bar squares in the metro is on the agenda.
The CEO of Tehran and Suburbs Metro Operating Company said at the signing ceremony: One of the needs of Tehran citizens is to supply goods and consumer items.
Mehdi Shayesteh Asl, noting that about 2 to 3 million trips are made daily in the Tehran metro, added: “This factor can provide a basis for creating a joint work so that, God willing, with the help of our colleagues in the Fruit and Vegetable Markets Organization, we can discuss livelihoods.” Also serve the people.
He added: “The Fruit and Vegetable Markets Organization has presented a new approach in this case, in which items reach the citizens at a very reasonable price and away from the presence of brokers.”
He pointed out that in the first phase, the booths of the Fruit and Vegetable Organization will be established in 30 metro stations.
Shayesteh Asl pointed out: We hope to be able to identify 30 stations by Eid night. Due to the type of space that exists and the limitations that exist in air conditioning, the supply conditions are supposed to be completely suitable and we provide the conditions in such a way as to ensure the maximum health of our colleagues and citizens who buy, so different distribution and packaging type It will be better than before.
Ayub Fasahat, CEO of Tehran Municipality Fruit and Vegetable Markets Organization, while congratulating the Fajr holidays, said: “The good interaction and empathy that was done to use the common capacities of Tehran Municipality is valuable.”
Noting that this is done in line with the policy of direct supply of basic products and goods in Tehran, he added: “In my opinion, metro stations are one of the very good places to supply these products.”
He added: “In the first phase of this memorandum, basic goods such as sugar, sugar and oil will be offered at metro stations at the approved price, and in the next phases, other items such as fruit will be offered at special conditions and suitable for metro hub stations.”
He further thanked the good mood of the CEO of the Metro Operating Company and the colleagues who cooperated in this way and said: “This is just the beginning.”
Fasahat pointed out: In order to observe the condition of the people and travelers in the last months of the year and the days of the holy month of Ramadan, we offer basic goods at the lowest prices and without intermediaries.
