Memories of playing with “Hamid Lolaei” in “Chehel Tikeh” / from a bank employee to the management of Azadi Cinema

According to a Fars News Agency radio and television correspondent, the program “Chehel Tikeh” performed by Mohammad Reza Alimardani on Thursday night in the presence of Hamid Lolaei was a special event for those interested in playing with cinema and television figures.

In this program, Lolaei recounted the memories of his decades in the field of theater, television and cinema. Fascinating and audible memories and full of many lessons …

The program will be presented to the audience in two parts, the first part of which was broadcast on Thursday and the second part of which aired on Nasim Network on Friday.

In the following, you will read Hamid Lolaei’s speeches in the first part of his program in forty pieces, which is a narration of the actor’s memories from his own language:

I was born on the 3rd of December 1334 in Sepah Square (Ishratabad). I was the fourth child in the family. We were 10 children. At that time, the facilities were very limited. We were in your two rooms and we all lived together. Our house was old and with a yard. It was not like now that the children each own a room and have an empire for themselves. At that time, I always had a problem with socks. Everyone woke up earlier, put on their existing socks, and left. There were many times when I went to school without socks.

I was a calm child. I played childhood and adolescence games for the love of acting. Sometimes neighbors would come and tell Hamid to come and make us laugh a little. Little by little, I made a movie for myself with the pictures I took from the books. I made a movie in the abandoned kitchen we had. I would also sell tickets. The children would come and buy tickets. When the performance was over, the children went home, but after a while, the families came to our house to protest that Hamid had taken our children’s money, and the children were crying now. I also returned their money.

In fact, my main goal was to follow the real form of cinema and the children must buy tickets to see the performance. It was a hard but sweet time. Children and young people now have many opportunities. Everyone likes to come overnight and be seen well. It is easy to get into this field, but it is difficult to stay. You have to have play and talent; If you do it with your hands full, you will last.

There are those who come to the party and play an important role, but they do not last and people reject them. Abbas Agha’s shop was near our house. Abbas Agha had a son who was my age. I also went to the store to help them. When they helped this father and son, I would sometimes throw a handful of raisins into my pocket.

I would gather the children and tell them a story. The stories were all made up by my own mind. I would not tell the story that came to its sensitive place. The children were protesting what would happen at the end of the story. I told the children to go and get some bread and cheese from your house, I also told Abbas Agha’s son to go and get some pistachios from your father’s shop. At that time, it was Qaraqaroot and Lavashka. When the kids went and got something, I would tell them the rest of the story. I learned a lot about acting from people. I am not a literate person, I proceeded more based on tradition and experience.

The basics of acting are the same talent, love, passion and perseverance. If someone wants to become an actor and has chosen the path of university to go and study for four years and then become an actor; Not at all.

When I entered the field of acting, we worked on “Kids’ Brunette” with Reza Jian. The arrival of me and Mr. Akbar Abdi started with this show; After rehearsing, we did not have money for car rental and we walked from the city theater to Khorasan Square. We worked with Mr. Tahmours on the “Speaking Jar”. “Those Sixty Those Sixty Thousand” was directed by Alireza Ghaffari. But we did not perform this play at all.

(Alimardani explained that the pictures I saw belonged to the same play “Those Sixty Those Sixty Thousand” in which the pictures from your rehearsal were recorded.)

After that, I was offered the series Sarbadaran. We went to Kashan and recorded there. Some of the episodes I played in were never aired. At the same time, they offered me a film that belonged to the foundation. The name of the movie was Sculptor. My salary for playing in this movie was 5 thousand tomans. I did not have a job offer for about seven to 10 years. My father threatened me that you should come to work; He took me to the factory to learn how to work with a motorcycle. I went to a teacher for a year and saw that I was not worthy of it at all.

I went to work in the bank for a month and I said to myself, what is this that you have to count people’s money from morning to night while you do not have a thousand tomans of money in your pocket (laughs), I did not think that if I stay in the bank, we will be fine. will be fine. I made a few short films of eight millimeters. I still have these movies. I used to show movies to children with cameras. The children did not understand what movies were. Honestly, I did not know what I made. That’s all love. Without training and without support, we entered this field ourselves.

Young people now all want to be actors. Well, I would like to be a doctor too; can I?
It is better that the buds do not stick. Come forward with full hands. Start with the theater. At that time I was upset that they knew me. I wanted to play two shows a year. I have been famous for 20 years now and I have not lived since. One day I looked at a movie magazine and saw that the writing needed people to enter the cinema after three months of training to upgrade their theaters. When I saw it, I saw that five thousand people had registered.

I was walking from Imam Hossein Square to Baharestan. In the middle of the road, I saw one of the cinemas showing the movie “Horizon” and its ticket sales queue was very crowded. I went there and it was my turn. I was asked why you want to be a cinema director. I said I would like to manage a cultural collection. He said what movie is on the screen now, I said the movie “Horizon” told me that on Saturday we will announce the names of the winners.

On Saturday, when I went to see the names of those accepted, I saw that the first person had mentioned my name. We went and took a three-month filmmaking course. I took this course very seriously. When the classes were over, they called me and said that they wanted you for Kaveh Cinema. I also went and was the director of this cinema for a few months. One day a father came with his children to see one of Tarkovsky’s films. I told this man that this film is not suitable for children and it is better to go to the Palestinian cinema and see a film suitable for children there. I talked to this father very respectfully. At the same time, two art directors were there and saw how I treated this father and son. Of course, I did not notice their presence.

The next day, they called me saying that they wanted you from the seminary. I was very afraid that they would not be satisfied with my work. Anyway, I went tomorrow and they told me that they want you to manage Azadi Cinema. From that day on, I went to Azadi Cinema. The movie “The Bride” was released at the same time. I made a ticket reservation for the first time. I made a wonderful chance for the movie The Bride.

One day, the production manager of Apartment movie offered me to play in this movie. Hamideh Khairabadi was also in that film. The day I left, Ms. Khairabadi was also a poster; He told me to come and go just for a greeting. That is to say, an actor with that long history in the field of cinema and television, was posted that day to say a greeting in only one plan and leave. When I was the director of Azadi Cinema, 8 theater kids found me. There was a series called Freemasonry where I played a British minister. Ali Omrani was also present in the same Freemasonry series. I did a lot of humor behind the scenes of that movie. Mr. Omrani liked it very much and told me that you come to play for comedy?

I went and worked a good time and from there I met children like Mr. Modiri, Reza Attaran and others. After this incident, I resigned from the management of Azadi Cinema. We really worked hard and we were very unemployed. We have just reached a point where we can respect our veterans.

According to Fars, “Chehel Tikeh”, produced and directed by Elham Hatami, is one of the most watched TV programs.

This program will be broadcast every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 9 pm. On Tuesdays, an anthology of last week’s three programs will be broadcast.

“Chehel Tekeh” will host Ahmad Reza Asadi on Thursday, December 3rd, and Khashayar Rad on Friday, December 4th.
