Meshkatian’s house burned down! + Photos

According to the Fars News Agency’s music correspondent, the head of the Neishabour Fire and Safety Services announced the occurrence of a fire in the old house of the late Parviz Meshkatian.
The managing director of Neishabour Municipality Fire and Safety Services told Sada-e Azadi about the incident: The fire of the old house of the old buildings and cultural heritage of the city was reported to the 125 system this morning at 7:58 AM, and a team of firefighters from the station immediately Martyr Safadel was sent to the scene.
Seyyed Mehdi Hosseini added: “Due to the sensitivity of this building, an attempt was made to extinguish the fire with the least damage, but unfortunately, due to the fact that the fire had spread to the roof wood and isogum on the roof, it was not easily extinguished.”
He said: “In this accident, although two water support tanks were used to extinguish the fire, but due to the old structure and the water that was used to extinguish the fire, the risk of the building collapsing is very high.”
The managing director of the Neishabour Municipality Fire and Safety Services Organization said: the municipal civil experts as well as the cultural heritage experts were asked to make a decision on whether to stay or destroy the building by being present at the site.
Seyed Mehdi Hosseini added: the amount of damage and the cause of the fire are under investigation.
Professor Parviz Meshkatian is one of the top musicians and composers of original Iranian music, whose father’s house on Negarestan Street in Neishabour was nationally registered.
Master Parviz Meshkatian’s father’s house is located on Besat Street in Neishabour, which is about 70 years old. The media stopped the demolition of the building and the house was left in the same semi-ruined state.
