Message of condolence from the Deputy Minister of Handicrafts and Traditional Arts following the death of Professor Maryam Karimi

According to the report of Aria Heritage, the text of Pouya Mahmoudian’s message of condolence reads:

we are for God and we return to him
Masters and veterans of Iranian handicrafts and traditional arts are considered the most valuable artistic assets of this borderland, who have always kept this blazing flame alive by teaching the theoretical foundations and scientific techniques of these arts to the younger generation.
Maryam Karimi learned needlework from the age of 12 under the tutelage of Iranian masters and worked in this field of art for more than 60 years.
“I offer my condolences to the family of the deceased and all the artists of handicrafts and traditional arts for this great loss, and for the soul of that dear artist, I ask God Almighty for peace and divine forgiveness.”
