Meteorological Agency warns of escalating air pollution

According to the Moj news agency, the Meteorological Organization issued a yellow warning about the stability of the weather from Saturday (December 11) to Sunday (December 12) in the cities of Tehran and Arak.
Due to the occurrence of this phenomenon, hazards such as relative stagnation in the atmosphere, along with increasing the concentration of pollutants and decreasing air quality can be expected.
If the sources of pollutants (fixed and mobile) are not controlled, increasing the air quality index to unhealthy levels for sensitive groups and in industrial and high-traffic areas, there is a possibility of increasing the air quality index to unhealthy levels for all groups.
In these weather conditions, avoid any unnecessary travel in cities, especially for the elderly, children and people with a history of disease, avoid physical activity and sports outdoors and manage the consumption of fossil fuels and the time of operation of industrial units in the countryside and suburbs. Metropolises should be on the agenda.
The yellow alert means that atmospheric phenomena will occur that may interfere with travel and daily activities. This warning is issued to raise public awareness so that they can be prepared to deal with atmospheric phenomena that are slightly more severe than usual. Officials, on the other hand, are aware of these warnings so that they can take action if necessary.
