Middle East expert: Iranian-Arab relations in the region are important for Al-Kazemi

“Iraq is on the verge of holding an important election and the Iraqi Prime Minister wants the internal and internal atmosphere of Iraq to be calm and the election to end smoothly,” Musayeb Naeemi told IRNA. Reach.
He added: “The Iraqi elections are influenced by internal and external issues, and it seems that the Baghdad conference was also held in order to attract the attention of Iraq-friendly countries to help create a good atmosphere and prepare for a good election.” Although the Iraqi government did not achieve all its goals in this conference, in general, all the guests from Iran, Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and other participants were satisfied with this conference.
The editor-in-chief of Al-Wefaq newspaper reminded: The Iraqi parliament gave Mr. Al-Kadhimi an opportunity for the Americans to leave Iraq at some point. Therefore, at this stage, one of the priorities of the Iraqi Prime Minister is to create an internal agreement and balance in relation to countries such as Iran and the United States in Iraq.
The regional affairs expert noted that the discussion of regional and international relations is important for al-Kadhimi, especially as far as Iraq’s interests are concerned.
Naimi considered Iran’s consultative opinion important for Al-Kazemi and said: “Iranian-Arab relations are also among Al-Kazemi’s important concerns.”
“The black-and-white view that al-Kadhimi is said to be close to the Americans is not accurate in the complex situation in Iraq,” he said. The current Iraqi Prime Minister has tendencies and ideas that he relies on to try to get Iraq out of the crisis and seeks to defuse tensions in Iraq.
The expert on regional issues assessed Iran’s position with Al-Kazemi as important and added: Al-Kazemi considers Iran as a factor of stability and authority in the region and has taken positive steps towards interaction between Iran and members of the Gulf Cooperation Council. In addition, he has shown that he seeks the convergence of the countries in the region, and that he considers it a factor of stability in the region and even a factor of stability of Iraq in the face of harm.
“Al-Kazemi believes that Iran can do a lot to help Iraq, and on the other hand, Iran has helped both him and the former Iraqi prime ministers,” he said.
Referring to al-Kadhimi’s efforts to bring Iran and Saudi Arabia closer, he said: “Several rounds of talks between Iran and Saudi Arabia were held in the middle of Iraq.” Although the two countries have not yet reached a significant agreement, al-Kadhimi is trying to establish a level of agreement between the two countries.
“On the other hand, Ayatollah Ra’isi has a positive view on resolving disputes with Saudi Arabia and other countries in the region, and they have welcomed this approach,” Naimi said. As far as the exchange of ambassadors between Iran and Saudi Arabia and the opening of the embassies of the two countries is imminent.
The expert on regional issues reminded: Al-Kazemi is looking hard to establish relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia at the ambassadorial level before the elections. This will be a winner for him in the upcoming elections.
Regarding other goals of Al-Kazemi’s visit to Tehran, he said: Al-Kazemi announced that he is negotiating with Iran to build a railway from Shalamcheh to Basra and from Iraq to Jordan and Egypt. They are considering another railway project to Turkey, which requires Iran’s participation in its creation and operation.
The Middle East expert said another goal of Al-Kazemi’s visit was to discuss energy, adding that Iran and Iraq are working to build power plants and clean up surplus production with neighboring countries. There are many projects and projects in the oil, gas, electricity and water management sectors between the two countries, which of course require billions of dollars of investment, and it seems that the two countries are seeking to allocate resources.
