Minister of Labor: The Relief Committee is the leader in creating employment in the country/Decreasing employment in agriculture

According to the reporter of Social Welfare Group of Fars News Agency, Said Solat Mortazavi, Minister of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare, said at the “National Conference of Employment Leaders” that the Relief Committee has focused all its efforts on following the agenda of the leader of the revolution.

He stated that a camp should be established to solve the problem of unemployment and employment, and added: The review of the activities of the relief committee indicates that this camp has been created in the best way in this organization today.

Praising the employment leaders of the relief committee, Mortazavi said: Without a doubt, those who are responsible for the employment management in the relief committee can be considered as the commanders of the employment camp.

The Minister of Cooperation, Labor and Social Welfare stated: We must definitely mobilize all the possibilities for the development of entrepreneurship in the country, because this action provides a platform for economic prosperity and creating social peace.

Mortazavi considered the empowerment of the labor force to be the basis of improving productivity and emphasized: we must shorten the processes leading to production and at the same time try to achieve the highest income in the economic field with the lowest cost.

Emphasizing the importance of training and skill enhancement, he said: “It is necessary to move things forward in the field of entrepreneurship outside of the traditional space and in the knowledge-based world.”

In another part of his speech, Mortazavi stated: Certainly, part of the work is carried out through the lens of educational classes, but the reality is that we should not ignore the Internet and virtual space and proceed based on modern science.

He said: “Employment is not entertainment, but an important basis in production.” Effective production is also one of the basic bases in the discussion of economic growth, through which all the country’s dependence on foreign borders can be removed.

The Minister of Cooperation, Labor and Social Welfare, while emphasizing the creation of one million jobs this year, said: The 13th government, according to its promise, created one million jobs before the end of the year.

Mortazavi stated: It is necessary to carry out a serious revision in the processes of creating employment in order to help the sustainable development of businesses while shortening the time for obtaining permits.

He listed the focus on completing half-finished projects and paying attention to less developed areas as one of the priorities of the 13th government and added: some half-finished projects left on the ground have the capacity to strengthen the production and employment cycle while completing them.

While referring to the government’s support through the granting of production subsidies and guaranteed purchases, Mortazavi said: attention to the category of entrepreneurship is also one of the things that fall under the government’s support policies.

The Minister of Cooperation, Labor and Social Welfare, presenting statistics in the field of employment, added: The monitoring shows that there has been an increase in employment in the industry, commerce and services sector. But unfortunately, we have seen a decline in employment in agriculture.

He said: The issue of tourism ecosystems in rural areas is one of the things that can change the wrong image of Iran presented in the foreign media by attracting tourists in order to neutralize the “Iran-phobia” project.

Mortazavi pointed out that the measures taken in the field of employment will help in the absolute and relative elimination of poverty in the society and will also increase productivity. The 13th government has also used all its efforts so that there is no more absolute poverty in the society and relative poverty is also reduced to the lowest level.
