Ministry of Heritage, Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts to introduce the tomb of Sheikh Safiauddin to the world



According to the Arya Heritage Report, quoting the Presidential Information Center, Ayatollah Dr. Seyyed Ibrahim Ra’isi attended the tomb of Sheikh Safi al-Din Ardabili this evening, Friday, October 21, 1400, and paid tribute to the high position of this great scholar and mystic of Islam by reciting the Fatiha.

The President also visited different sections of the museum and tomb of Sheikh Safi al-Din Ardabili and stressed the importance of introducing and properly recognizing the personality of Sheikh Safi al-Din Ardabili as a great Islamic scholar.

“This great Islamic scholar has played a prominent role in the unification of Islamic Iran and the spread of Shiite culture,” Mr. Ra’isi said during the visit, praising the valuable and prominent figure of Sheikh Safi al-Din Ardabili.

Ayatollah Ra’isi, stating that the character of Sheikh Safi al-Din should be properly introduced and known, said: “It provided a religious identity.”

Ayatollah Ra’isi also described the architecture of the tomb of Sheikh Safi al-Din Ardabili as a glorious example of Iranian-Islamic art, saying: “The Ministry of Heritage, Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts should introduce this valuable historical monument to the world and facilitate the presence of tourists in this historical place.”

After attending the tomb of Sheikh Safi al-Din Ardabili, the President visited several handicraft shops in Ardabil and talked closely with artists and vendors. During the visit, some handicraft artists presented their proposals for introducing and selling works of art to the president.
