My Persian Requesting family rights for workers

In an interview with the economic correspondent of Fars news agency, Ali Khodayi said about the demand of my Fars audience regarding the establishment of the spouse’s right to labor benefits: According to Article 41 of the Labor Law, the minimum wage for workers is based on two components of the inflation rate announced by the Central Bank. And the livelihood basket of a household is determined by the average worker, and it is stated in the same law that the size of the household is announced by official authorities, that currently the average size of the household is 3.3 people, which includes father, mother and about 2 children.

He also said: according to the labor law, there is a right to children in the worker’s rights, but there is no right to the wife. This year, workers with any level of experience will enjoy the right to children.

According to Khodayi, this year, the livelihood basket of the working family was not covered by the 27% growth rate of the minimum wage of the workers, therefore the issue of the wife’s right was not respected.

The representative of the workers in the Supreme Labor Council also said: This year, the government compared workers with employees, and his opinion was that since the salaries of employees will increase by 20%, the salaries of workers should also be within this range, while employees have the right to have a family and should be paid for Workers should also have the right to family, on the other hand, employees have many amenities, travel, holiday payments, and workers do not have these facilities.

He also said: It is stated in the labor law that employers are obliged to observe the minimum wage of the worker in exchange for doing the work and not to pay less than that.
