As Radio Referring to the importance of distributing dividends to companies, Majid Eshghi said: “One of the most important issues is related to the profits of small shareholders in previous years, which remain in companies, and these companies have not paid this profit for various reasons.”

He added: “We are trying to create a mechanism so that small shareholders can receive their profits, which is an example of people’s rights that remain inside the companies and it is the companies that benefit, so the stock exchange organization will make sure that these companies distribute dividends on time.” Deposit to shareholders’ accounts.

Majid Eshghi added: “We are trying to register the profits of the shareholders of the previous years that have not been distributed in the SJAM system and pay it through it.”

He added: “One of the most important and acute issues for small shareholders is how to pay dividends to companies, which is done in different ways (different banks) and of course with a lot of delay.” For this purpose, in the last two years, the Sajam and Authentication system was created, which includes complete information of shareholders (account number and identity details), and companies are required to pay their dividends centrally through this system to shareholders’ accounts, especially small shareholders. .

Eshghi said: “This year, about 270 companies paid cooperation and dividends to shareholders through SJAM, but the rest of the publishers did not cooperate, so considering the facilities in the organization and the executive guarantees, we will definitely deal with these companies.”

“Next year, all publishers will be required to distribute dividends to shareholders through SJAM so that other shareholders do not have to go from bank to bank, but must be able to receive their dividends centrally,” he said.
The head of the stock exchange organization said: “The executive guarantee of this issue is the anticipation of legal amendments that we are waiting for to be approved by the parliament.”

Noting that companies’ profits will be paid approximately 10 to 12 months after the end of the fiscal year, he said: “By amending the law, profits are expected to be paid more quickly and with a shorter time interval.”

The head of the stock exchange organization said: “In this regard, a study has been conducted in which companies are required to distribute profits and announce them to shareholders during quarterly periods.”

He added: “Next year, the stock exchange organization will not appease the companies listed on the stock exchange and over-the-counter, so they must pay their profits through shares.”

Eshghi emphasized: the shareholders’ profit has no deposit in the accounts of the central depository company and the profit that comes to the depositor company’s account will be immediately transferred to the shareholders’ account and then whatever is left will be returned to the publishers’ account.

In the end, he said: “According to the disciplinary regulations and various penalties imposed, some publishers are still willing to accept these penalties, but do not pay the interest, due to the benefits they earn from these profits in their account.” The stock exchange organization intends to amend the law to see the penalties in such a way that these cases are not repeated and the publishers pay the profits on time.
