Operation of the first phase of Ekbatan metro terminal after 13 years of waiting

According to Fars News Agency’s urban group, Ekbatan terminal is located in the westernmost point of Tehran Metro Line 4 and within the limits of Ekbatan town. The first phase of this terminal, including negative floor 2, is ready for operation after successfully performing the hot test on the evening of Friday, May 6, 1401.

Masoud Dorsti, CEO of Tehran Metro Company, said about the second inauguration of the company this year: “After operating the southern entrance of Yadegar Imam ایست station on line 6, now it is time to inaugurate the first phase of the Ekbatan terminal construction project; This terminal with a capacity of accepting 21 Ram trains, with 70,000 square meters of infrastructure and designed in 2 floors, the first phase of which is on the verge of operation.

The CEO of Tehran Metro Company pointed out the most important effects of operating the Ekbatan terminal and added: “By operating this parking lot, it will be possible to reduce the distance of trains and increase the passenger capacity on Line 4.”

At the end of his speech, Drasti said: “Considering the construction of Ekbatan terminal in the residential area of ​​Ekbatan town, its construction was designed underground to maintain safety standards, to cause the least inconvenience to the locals and the least damage to the urban landscape;” In fact, due to the underground structure of the terminal, the surface on it has the ability to create green space for the town of Ekbatan.
