Parvin Bahmani, the mother of Iranian lullabies, was hospitalized


According to the Fars news agency’s music correspondent, “Parvin Bahmani”, the creator of maternal lullabies in Iran, was hospitalized in Imam Sajjad Hospital due to the worsening of heart and lung problems.

Damoun Shashbloki, the son of “Parvin Bahmani”, told a Fars reporter about the general condition of this veteran professor: “Since the afternoon, when his mother ‘s condition deteriorated and he even lost the ability to speak, we were trying to find a hospital to treat and treat him.” Unfortunately, most hospitals either did not have empty beds or did not accept our patient conditions.

In response to a Fars reporter’s question about the use of health insurance and how to deal with this pioneer of maqami music and researcher, he explained: “Unfortunately, we went to several hospitals that demanded exorbitant costs in the beginning to admit and hospitalize the mother.” However, the main problem was the lack of suitable conditions for his hospitalization in the intensive care unit, which caused confusion, uncertainty and concern.

This researcher in the field of ethnic music added: “Finally, by referring to several hospitals and contacts and coordination, but unfortunately none of them came to fruition, we were able to admit the mother to Imam Sajjad Hospital, and of course, before admission, we must first pay in advance.” Significant payments were made to the hospital account for inpatient work.

Regarding the physical condition and general condition of Professor “Parvin Bahmani”, he said: “The mother is not well at all, and considering that some time ago she was severely injured in a landslide and had already had an acute heart and lung problem.” Today, the situation is much worse. Upon the visit, the doctor said that one of the patient’s lungs was completely full of water and swollen, and the other lung was half full, which caused severe swelling of the heart. After the explanation of the specialist doctor, Ms. Bahmani was transferred to the intensive care unit to continue her treatment and care.

Parvin Bahmani, born in 1328 in Shiraz, is the creator of local lullabies and a researcher of Qashqai culture. He is a graduate of the Teacher Training University and has served as a teacher. After years of researching, performing and collecting lullabies in different parts of Iran, this researcher received a first-class artistic (doctoral) award from the Ministry of Culture and Guidance, and is considered the first woman to be selected by Turkish art celebrities. After graduating, he entered a nomadic school and taught for 16 years while studying music. For a while, he studied original music with professors such as Mohammad Hossein Kiani, Habib Khan Gorgin, Gholamreza Khan Bahmani and Mohammad Gholi Khorshid, then emigrated to Tehran. Ms. Bahmani is known as a music researcher along with local tunes and lullabies. In 2007, he became famous with a lullaby in the film “Three Women” by Manijeh Hekmat. This song soon gained attention not only in Iran but also in different countries, and many producers, musicians and researchers were drawn to Qashqai music. Parvin Bahmani holds a first-class award from Iran, an honorary doctorate from the Moscow Conservatory and a state university in Turkey.
