According to Mehr News Agency, citing the public relations of the Documentary Network, the dedication ceremony of Fereydoun Esmaili, a veteran radio and dubbing artist, and the unveiling of the documentary film “Ferydoun Baradar Manouchehr” was held on December 2 at Arsbaran Cultural Center. Produced and directed by Abolfazl Tawakli, “Feydoun Baradar Manouchehr” is a portrait of Fereydoun Esmaili, one of the pioneer figures in the field of voice and dubbing, and reviews his personal and professional life.

At the beginning of this ceremony, Fereydoun Esmaili, quoting a memory of Mohammad Reza Shajarian, said: I remember when I was going to class to learn calligraphy, Mirkhani was my calligraphy teacher. I also learned singing under the supervision of Professor Mehrtash. At that time, when I had just started the singing class, my dear friend Mohammad Reza Shajarian had finished the course. I remember that both Professor Mirkhani and Professor Mehrtash remembered him well. Tonight, I want to perform a song in memory of Shajarian.

This veteran artist added: All artists deserve appreciation and I receive this gift on their behalf.

Another guest of this ceremony was Mikael Shahristani who said: When my peers and I entered the radio after passing a grueling exam, they tried to separate us from the older ones in the radio. I was one of those who opposed this issue and asked why there should be a distance between us and them and we should not work with them? Of course, gradually I found this distance less and the honor to be in the service of teachers such as Mr. Moqbali, the late Sadruddin Shajareh, etc. Of course, many of those loved ones are no longer with us, and here I must mention Mr. Ramin Farzad, who was not just an actor, but an artist in every sense.

He continued: I remember when I was seriously pursuing my activities on the radio, I also entered the field of directing. I really wanted to benefit from the experience and knowledge of the older ones; In the meantime, Professor Fereydoun Esmaili’s place was vacant. I reached out to him; I was told that he preferred not to be active any more and stop his cooperation. When I inquired more, I found out that they were apparently disrespected and that’s why they don’t like to work on the radio and they went to dubbing. One of my regrets was this, and I was saying why they should be far from their first home and we should not benefit from their experiences.

Abolfazl Tawakli, the director of the documentary “Feridon Baradar Manouchehr” said in this context: I thank Mr. Feridun Esmaili for allowing me to serve him and make a documentary film about him. The documentary “Feridon Baradar Manouchehr” is one of the works that I should have made sooner, and on the other hand, it was very necessary to make it. The reason for this is that the older radio artists were less visual and less known by name.

He added: Master Esmaili has done very important works in radio. But few people know that these creative works are the result of his efforts. Many of the memorable scenes we have heard are from Ismaili’s efforts. It was my duty to make a film about him and I am happy that it happened. Whenever we enter Radio Ark, the camera is with us and the radio colleagues are very welcoming and even stop their programs for a few minutes so that we can do our thing.

In another part of the ceremony, Farsi, the old producer of the radio, reminded: the life of the radio in our country is 83 years. Radio started working in our country on May 4, 1319, and now it has been 83 years. This nearly 8-decade life can be divided into 2 parts; The golden age of radio is the 1340s. At that time, television was not widespread and throughout the country, radio ruled. Of course, people chose radio not as the only medium but as an all-round medium.

He said: Mr. Esmaili is among the artists who entered the radio in this golden decade. His talent is commendable; He has a special voice and knows his job well. This is the reason why he was able to become one of the most influential figures of the radio among all the professors of those days.

This veteran artist stated: In radio, I had the honor of being a student of those who, in addition to being capable in various fields, taught humility to their students. I and my contemporaries learned in the presence of these professors that we should also put moral issues at the top of our agenda. I had the honor to serve Mr. Esmaili in a number of radio shows, and he kindly and generously gave me the opportunity to be his assistant. I learned many tips from him and I am proud that he is my veteran. I consider myself a student of Mr. Ismaili. He is both loved and oppressed; Due to the fact that in these years, no ceremony was held in his honor.

At the end of the ceremony, veteran artist Mohammad Ali Dibaj said: I have known Mr. Esmaili for 40 years and we were colleagues in the TV dubbing unit. He is a very noble, experienced and unbiased artist who has always done his work in the best way. These positive moral qualities made my interest and devotion to him increase day by day. Of course, unfortunately, I was not in his service on the radio and our cooperation goes back to the field of dubbing. I hope that the existence of such loved ones will last forever and serve Iran’s culture and art for many years.

At the end of this ceremony, in the presence of Mikael Shahrashtani, Mohammad Ali Dibaj, Ali Hemat Momiwand, Shirin Sephrad, Shahrad Banki, Amir Behram Kavianpour, Kasra Kiani, Hossein Khodadad Beigi, Alireza Farzi (former radio producer), Babak Ashkobus, Kamran Maleki, Hossein Javadi and Fans of the art of dubbing and sound of the documentary channel and a certificate of appreciation from the director of the channel were presented to Fereydoun Esmaili and the half century of artistic activity of this veteran in radio was appreciated.
