Ahmad Zali, a TV producer, told Mehr reporter about his activities these days: I have a serial script that we are working on until it reaches the final output and we decide on its production.
He said about “Kushnam”, which was his last work as a producer and went on air last year: “Kushnam” series directed by Alireza Najafzadeh was aired and we were ready to produce the second season of this series. However, the television did not ask us to continue this series.
This producer stated about the “Famous” series: We also had a ready-made plan that was funnier and sweeter than the previous season, but unfortunately, the TV management team did not ask us to produce it.
He asked whether the plan or script of the second season of this series was presented to TV or not? He stated: The plan for the second season was ready, but they did not ask us for any plans. Due to the fact that the “Kushnam” series had a high audience during the month of Ramadan from the TV Research Center, but they did not ask us to make a continuation of the series.
This producer further stated about the lack of good jokes on television: the fact is that the more we have gone forward, the stricter the approval of the script has become and the topics have become more closed.
In response to the fact that so far there has been a restriction on not making a series about a topic or subject, he said: They have nothing to do with not making subjects, but I don’t think there is much luck for comedy work. People need sweet and attractive works, and now the comedy works of the past years have the most viewers.
Referring to some serials, including the works of Attaran and other comedy directors, Zali pointed out: Some of these serials have been aired maybe 20 times, but people still see and love them. Even the “Khushnam” series was seen more in rebroadcasts and on IFilm and Tamasha channels, and this shows that people are hungry to see comedies.
“Khushnam” series was the story of a person named Shahram who wanted to return from his dark and ruined past. This series starring Homan Haji Abdullahi, Abbas Jamshidi Far, Hamid Lolaei, Siavash Chiraghipour and a group of comic actors was broadcasted on Ik Sima channel last year.
