People do not prioritize buying a car / Is the car getting more expensive?

According to Tejarat News, the ambiguity in the car import plan stagnated the car market. Car dealers say dealers have also moved out of the car market due to the recession, and most capital has either been blocked in banks or people are no longer able to invest due to rising inflation.

Studies show that Dena, Tiba and Peugeot 405 have become more expensive in the market. The price of Dena model 1400 reached 329 million Tomans and Dena Plus automatic turbo model 1400 reached 460 million Tomans.

Also, Tiba hatchback model 1400 was traded at a price of 162 million Tomans. Peugeot 405 SLX recorded a price increase of one to three million tomans.

Why did the market stagnate?

Why did the car market stagnate? “The market downturn has two reasons,” said the secretary of the Automobile Importers Association. First, people do not have money. The second issue is the ambiguity in the car import plan. No new position has been taken on car imports yet, while whispers of rising prices for Iranian cars can be heard.

Mehdi Dadfar explained to Tejarat News: “People’s priority is to provide livelihood.” The price of food, rent, housing, university fees are some of the things that are more of a priority for people, but buying a car is no longer a priority for people.

“Even dealers left the car market,” he said. Because there is no demand for foreign cars and the foreign car market is no longer profitable.

Special classes buy cars

Referring to the situation in the car market, Dadfar said: “Now, certain groups who need a car with a higher model are buying a foreign car.” Some people with a moderate level of finances also turn to Iranian cars. Because they believe that production costs have increased and the price of Iranian cars will increase in the near future.

Referring to the future of the foreign car market, the secretary of the Association of Car Importers said: “There are whispers of an increase in the price of Iranian cars.” If the task of importing cars is determined, this time foreign cars will become more expensive along with Iranian cars.

Earlier, Minister Samat had promised to reduce the price of cars, but according to Mehdi Dadfar, secretary of the Association of Car Importers, how the car is going to become cheaper has not yet been planned.
