Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Moscow about the possibility of inviting the Taliban (a banned terrorist group in Russia) to Moscow.

Asked if Moscow intended to invite a Taliban delegation to Moscow, Kremlin spokesman Peskov told reporters: “We, like the vast majority of countries in the world, prefer to tell reporters,” Sputnik reported. “Let’s take a closer look at what the Taliban are doing in Afghanistan, what the final power structure will be in this country, and how the promises made earlier will be fulfilled. We are closely monitoring all of this.”
Earlier, Zabihullah Mujahid, Deputy Minister of Information and Culture of the Provisional Government of Afghanistan, announced that the new government of Afghanistan wants to establish strong and high-level relations with Russia and is willing to travel to Moscow.
