In this test, Pixel 8 Pro was first dropped from waist height with the screen on the ground. This fall caused little damage to the aluminum frame of the device, which had hit the ground first. Of course, there were scratches on the edges of the screen, but the performance of the screen was not disturbed.
In the next test, the Pixel 8 Pro was dropped from head height with the display on the floor. The interesting thing was that the Google phone did not crack even in this state and did not get any serious scratches on it. Of course, there were damages around the screen, but the frame of the device had withstood most of the pressure. The Galaxy S23 Ultra had large cracks in the fall from the same height. Probably, the bending of Samsung’s flagship display caused this damage.
In the third test, the Pixel 8 Pro was dropped from waist height on its back. Here too, the phone was not damaged and the glass was not even cracked. In the last drop test, the Pixel 8 Pro fell on the ground from its side and this fall caused a small piece of the screen to detach from the body. However, there was no problem in the performance of the phone.
Finally, the Google flagship was placed in a bag of sand to determine its resistance to scratches. This phone also appeared successful in this test.
