Pololikashvili remains Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization / Iran supports Zurab’s re-election

The 24th session of the General Tourism Assembly of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), which is being held in Madrid, Spain, with the participation of more than a thousand delegations from 135 countries, Regarding the Secretary General of the Organization, the Executive Council, Ali Asghar Shalbafian, Deputy Minister of Tourism of the Ministry of Heritage, Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts, reaffirmed his support for the previous vote of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Secretary General Zurab Pololikashvili.

After a re-election, Polulikashvili was elected by a majority of votes for the years 2022 to 2025 as the organization’s secretary general.
