Postponing the release of two films in honor of Dariush Mehrjooi

Charso Press: Rasool Sadr Aamili, the producer of the movie “Jangel Portaqal” and Hoshang Golmakani, the director of the movie “Aho”, both of which were supposed to be released on Wednesday of this week, by publishing a joint text, announced the release of their movie due to the sad atmosphere after the tragic murder of Dariush. Mehrjooi and his wife Vahida Mohammadifar postponed it for a week.

They wrote: “Dariush Mehrjoui was the standard-bearer of Iran’s independent and different cinema, and the potential viewers of these two films will naturally be among those who are saddened and grieving in the aftermath of this heinous event. We condemn this painful crime, we offer our condolences to the survivors of Mehrjooi and Mohammadifar, the Iranian cinema and the country’s cultural community, and we want to clarify the dark aspects of the incident quickly.”
