The Deputy Minister of Insurance and Health Services of the Health Insurance Organization of Iran emphasized: in the plan to change the exchange rate policy, the Health Insurance Organization of Iran will be the executor and the Ministry of Health is responsible for policy-making the amount of support for medicine items and medical equipment. Therefore, the amount of support is determined and applied according to the adopted policy.
Rezaei also stated: After the plan to change the exchange rate policy, the Health Insurance Organization will design and initialize the implementation of the plan with two centralized implementation assumptions that the Health Insurance Organization is responsible for providing the exchange rate difference to all insured in the country. Decentralized implementation is designed so that the health insurance organization is solely responsible for serving the health insurance policyholders and other insurance organizations provide services to their policyholders. Therefore, there is preparation in the design phase, but for the implementation process, such as preparations and basic database tables, which are not currently available to us; It takes about three months for the project to become operational.
